Tijdens de Dies Natalis op 8 november won professor Pullar Garcia de 2024 FAME Athena Award. Onder de genomineerden waren twee academici van Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communiation (ESHCC): prof dr Martine van Selm en dr Lise Zurné. De andere genomineerden waren Dr. Constanze Binder, Diane Coetzer. Gefeliciteerd aan zowel de winnaar als de andere medewerkers die genomineerd waren.
Erasmus University Rotterdam and FAME (Females in Academia Moving towards Equity) strive for equal representation of female talent. With the Athena Award, FAME aims to celebrate staff members and students who stimulate early career female talent within the academic environment and are a true example for others.
The FAME Athena prize is presented by the Rector Magnificus during the Dies Natalis. The prize is an original painting by Sofja Wolsky and a certificate signed by the Rector Magnificus and a FAME committee member, recognizing their extraordinary contributions.
