Cyril Widdershoven

Biography

Dr Cyril Widdershoven is a long-time Middle East energy, defense, and investment analyst. He has over 30 years of experience in the EU-NATO-MENA region and focuses on oil-gas markets, OPEC, SWFs, geopolitics, geo-economics, military, and security.   

Cyril is a Fellow of the Payne Institute, Colorado School of Mines, and a Fellow of the European University Institute Florence. He is also a lecturer at Luiss School of Government Roma. He has studied Middle East Studies (KUN) and War Studies at King’s College in London. 

At the same time, Cyril works as a consultant for Oilprice.com, FXEmpire.com, Energyconnects.com, and other international publications. Additionally, he is the director at Hilltower Resource Analysts and Strategy International. He also holds several Thinktank positions in the Middle East. 

Cyril has experience and knowledge about oil and gas markets, geopolitics, investment risks, defense, sovereign wealth funds, supply chains MENA, and renewable energy markets.
