Opening 'Reading Without Borders' collection at Erasmus University College

A new 'Reading Without Borders' collection will be festively opened at Erasmus University College (EUC) on Tuesday 2 November. Students are encouraged to make their own acquisition suggestions so that they can actively participate in the creation of their collection and become acquainted with each other's cultural hinterland.

Gabriele Jacobs, Dean of EUC, will officially open the collection. International Booker Prize winner Michele Hutchison, translator of The discomfort of evening (Marieke Lucas Rijneveld) will be interviewed by Berrie Vugts. With poetry readings by EUC-Lecturer Çağlar Köseoğlu and student Cindy J. Steward. Musical accompaniment by RASL student Sebastiaan West. The opening will be celebrated with EUC students and invited guests.

The Reading Without Borders collection is presented by Erasmus University College and the Erasmus Center for Liberal Arts & Sciences (ECLAS) in collaboration with the Rotterdamsch Leeskabinet.
